Made from natural fine-pored wood granules that absorb liquid like a sponge, CATSAN™ Wood Comfort litter is the perfect solution for cat parents who want a biodegradable litter without compromising on performance.

The litter is made from wood granules so it harnesses the natural odour control of wood, is soft on paws and absorbs fast. It’s designed with the environment in mind too, being made from by-products of the wood industry (no tree falls for its production), and certified by PEFC. As the bark of trees can be exposed to environmental contaminants, only bark-free core wood is used for CATSAN™ Wood Comfort litter.

How it works

CATSAN™ Wood Comfort litter can absorb twice its weight in liquids, while the natural phenols and tannins produced by the trees ensure excellent odour control.

Steps to use

Fill the tray with a 5cm layer of CATSAN™ Wood Comfort litter.

Every day, remove the solid faeces. The litter will absorb the liquids.

When it stops absorbing properly, you can put the litter (minus solids) into the composting bin (if allowed by local authorities) or your normal outdoor bin.

It's been a week and I've just taken the poo out but still no strong smell. I usually use the other catsan non clumping litter and it's clear when it needs changing as it begins to smell and appears wet through most of the tray. This wood comfort, although damp, still seems ok and I've definitely had an extra couple of days out of this before a full change.

It may be biodegradable, it has the consistency of crumbled up weetabix, there’s no telling if the kittens have actually been in it, so I end up changing the whole tray everyday, which is quite pricey to do, doesn’t compare with my regular pet shop wood litter!!! The only plus, yes just the one, it does seem to control odour, though the kittens pee doesn’t smell anyway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ncm04 from Less smell Normally use the white catsan but got the wood comfort on offer so gave it a try. MUCH better, hardly any smell at all. Our cat is old and pees all the time so we have to change the tray every day or every other day. The wood comfort is lasting a bit longer and doesn’t cause as much mess either.
